Community
Have you heard of a
kindness kit? Like many others you might not have – a kindness kit, is a group
of essential living supplies grouped together and delivered to someone who
might need it. The Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development has joined forces
with the City of Peoria and decided to put together an event that will motivate
local teens to help peers their own age who are homeless. On June 20th,
starting at 2 PM, teens who decide to participate will assemble kindness kits
that will be distributed to the homeless teenagers that are currently staying
at the Tumbleweed Center. Supplies and donations are gladly accepted and will
used to make the kindness kits. If you would like to participate or would like
